The current Children’s Sector representatives on SANAC are Anthony Ambrose from World Vision SA, Dr. Ashraf Coovadia from Asiphilane, Wits Paediatric Clinics and  Menaka Jayakody from CHAiN - Western Cape NACOSA.

Background of the Sector
The SANAC Children’s Sector Network was formed in 2003 after the Children’s Rights Centre called for better representation of children’s issues on SANAC and the NGO Sector recommended to SANAC that the Children’s Sector be represented in its own right in the SANAC Council.
